JOB DETAILS:
Andre Foods International (AFI) is a Non-Profit Organization fully registered with the Government of Uganda. AFI is devoted to use community based sustainable models to promote food literacy, best WASH practices and elevated income that translates into development and reduction of malnutrition. AFI works with both local and international development partners by providing a comprehensive approach to solving public nutrition problems through; Food security, nutrition and health assessments/surveys for immediate community interventions, developing and implementing projects with regard to prevailing food insecurity, health and nutrition problems such as Supplementary Feeding Programme (SFP), Therapeutic Feeding Programme (TFP), Infant and Young Child Feeding practices, good nutrition for adolescents, elderly, pregnant and lactating women, sustainable Food and Agriculture Production and capacity building for district level health/nutrition leaders.

Position: Programme Assistant
Reports to: Nutrition Officer
Location: Nakapiripirit district
No. of Positions: 1

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and monitor the implementation of complementary activities alongside community based supplementary activities in close collaboration with the World Food Programme (WFP) field level staff.
• Ensure that all complementary activity reports are prepared and submitted to the
  Nutrition Officer for sharing with all the relevant stake holders periodically after implementation.
• Identify potential problems in the project implementation and discuss remedial action with project authorities or report to appropriate personnel

Qualifications

• University degree in Food Science and Technology or Human Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Not less than two (2) years of working experience in the same field.
• Good at Report writing
• Must be Computer literate
