USAID funded Uganda Health Supply Chain is a five year program supporting the Government of Uganda's health system to improve the availability and accessibility of essential medicines and health supplies (EMHS).The expected results of are Io:1) strengthen national policies and strategies and support cost-effective, equitable, and transparent utilization of EMHS resources; 2) strengthen country capacity for effective management and utilization of EMHS; and 3) increase availability and access of EMHS among priority populations MSH is searching for qualified persons to fill the following position:

Reports to. Assistant Cornrnissioner Health Services. Pharmarcy Department. MOH

Overall Responsibilities
The Technical Advisor Pharmaceutical information Portal (PIP) IT will design and implement strategies leading to effective technical support for PIP users at all levels of the health care system and work closely with the MoH PD and the MoH Division of-‘Health Informatics (MoH DHI). S/he coordinates and provides technical support.-to all PIP users which are currently but not limited to: Medicines Management Supervisors (MMSs), Pharmacy Department, Division of Health Informatics, implementing Partners, Regional Pharmacists and Regional Performance Monitoring Team pharmacists. , The Technical Advisor, PIP IT will initially be capacitated by the Uganda Health Supply Chain (UHSC) Technical Advisor – District Support to a super user status both technical support to PIP users and also use of the PlP.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in IT related area
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the health sector of Uganda
• Demonstrated skills in performing IT support for users/health workers
• Experience with facilitating computer trainings
• Experience with Remote Desktop software
• Experience ‘with SharePoint 2010 or later
• Experience with lnfoPath 2010 or later
• Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL setup and configuration
• Demonstrated excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Demonstrated effective leadership and interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated excellent English language skills (both written and oral) with the ability to make presentations and effectively write/edit reports
