The LWF is looking for, qualified and experienced persons for the following position:

Job Title: Project Officer- Protection
Place of Assignment: Adjumani
Reports to: Team Leader

Job Profile: The Project Officer-Protection (FDA Project) will work under the direct supervision of the Protection Coordinator. He/She will be responsible for planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Protection of Human Dignity in Adjumani Refugee Settlement'(PDA Project). Protection of Human Dignity in Adjumani Refugee Settlement (FDA Project) is a multi sectorial project with interventions in SGBV, protection, livelihood and legal and therefore the Project Officer will be entirely responsible in ensuring that diversity and integration of interventions is consistently applied throughout the project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  •  Must possess a degree in social sciences or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • 3 years work experience in Child protection, care and development in a humanitarian setting.
  • Working knowledge and experience of humanitarian principles, laws and standards.
  • High level of integrity, commitment and professional responsibility.
  • Ability to work independently with guidelines and clear expectations.
  • Ability to tolerate cultural, education and religious diversity in the work place.
  • Excellent communication & IT, organizational and presentation skills
  •  At least a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development studies, Psychology, Law or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  •  A minimum of 3 years’ experience in development and humanitarian protection with a reputable organization.
  •  Hands on experience on protection in emergencies;
  •  Sound understanding of project management cycle, humanitarian principles and standards including SPHERE, HAP and the Code of Conduct
  • Computer literacy with full knowledge of office applications, internet and email
