GENERAL JOB INFORMATION
job Title : Head, Strategy and Management Accounting
Reports to : Chief Finance Officer

JOB PURPOSE
To drive the financial performance of the bank by conducting product analysis closely monitoring the delivery of the departmental strategic objectives, providing performance reports plus the corresponding financial interpretations to guide and redirect efforts in the desire direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly and quarterly strategy performance update reports for the bank's Executive Committee (EXCO) and Board of Directors’ review.
• Analyse the performance of business segments, products, branches, relationship management and distribution channels.
• Support the bank's cost management initiative through review of business activities to establish "value for money" and budget alignment.
•  Provide in-depth performance analysis to facilitate the CFO and the Business Unit Heads to drive profitability.
• Monitor achievement of timeliness for strategic action plans and assessment of related impact on strategy implementation.
• Drive the budgeting process and ensure that all strategic initiatives are budgeted for and the set time lines are adhered to.
• Manage the bank’s revenue assurance system by effectively investigating all revenue streams to avoid revenue leakages.
• Facilitate staff productivity through knowledge sharing on Management Information Systems and Management Reporting.

JOB PROFILE
Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Statistics or any other related discipline.
• A professional qualification such as AC£A, CPA, CIMA.
• 5 years’ experience in financial /product analysis preferably with a banking or financial institution.
• Good knowledge of strategy formulation and monitoring.
• Sound knowledge of banking products and their accounting treatment.
• Experience in automation of reports for Regulators, Management and other stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret and translate requests into measurable and quantifiable forms.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while ensuring accurate delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of MIS, customer analytics and database management.
• Good leadership and team works kills.
• Good presentation, reporting and communication skills.
