Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub—region. Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response capacity within the organisations.

Oxfam is seeking to recruit qualified persons to join our dynamic, innovative and committed humanitarian response team. Some of these positions are for immediate placement while others are tor potential projects pending confirmation of funding.

Logistics Coordinator
To be based in Kampala with frequent field visits, the Logistics Coordinator will ensure the efficient and timely acquisition and movement of relief supplies to points of distribution S/he will arrange and manage the necessary support facilities (such as fuel storage equipment operations, vehicle maintenance, computers & equipment / supplies) and associated procedures needed to support the operation. Key responsibilities include:-Support the implementation of the emergency response program through operational support, with close adherence to internal and donor protocols and procedure; coordinate the preparation of procurement orders for commodities and goods needed for the program, in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the concerned grant agreements; coordinate procurement orders with concerned departments such as Administration and Finance to ensure that the right commodities are requested in the assets of donated commodities and the right goods are purchased for the organisation; consult with Finance and Program teams to ensure availability of funding before the procurement orders are placed and ensure that Oxfarn policies and procedures governing procurement of goods are strictly observed; management and maintenance of assets an equipment including their financial planning and needs forecast design and implementation of relevant procedures; security plan design, update and management.
