A tea processing company with a factory located in Western Uganda, positioning itself to become the top processor of quality tea in East Africa announces vacancies for the following positions:

Out - growers Manager;
Reporting to the Factory Manager, the Out-growers Manager will be responsible for ensuring continuous supply of green leaf tea from the Out growers to the factory:

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit and register tea out growers to supply green leaf tea to the factory
  
• Plan and project the out growers production and inform management tor planning purposes
  
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of green leaf to the factory
  
• Maintain data and information regarding the out growers production
  
• identify and designate green leaf collection points and ensuring proper structures and shades for green leaf collection centres conform to factory requirements
  
• Ensure efficient collection I transport of green leaf tea from out growers
  
• Ensure provision of extension services to out growers
  
• Ensure effective management of out growers credit facility system
  
• Ensuring effective communication between the factory and the out Growers

Qualifications:

• Must be a holder Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Agriculture or its equivalent
  
• Additional relevant training will be an added advantage
  
• At least 6 years practical experience of. tea industry of which 3 years should be at management level
  
• Must possess a clean valid diving permit

Other Skills:

• Must he computer literate
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, team player and ability to work under minimum supervision
  
• Excellent report writing skills
  
• Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  
• Must be a person of unquestionable integrity
  
• Must be willing and capable of working in a rural setting
