Purpose of the Job:
Overall academic, administrative and accounting officer for the institute, and serves as the main point of contact for external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure timely preparation of the Institutes Strategic, Business, and Work Plans for Council approval.
• Effectively implement the policies, plans, and directives of the Governing Council and Academic Board.
• Ensure development, promotion, and delivery of high quality training, research and consultancy services.
• Ensure a conducive environment for learning and professional endeavor based on respect, fairness and equity for all staff and students.
• Ensure timely appraisal of staff performance.
• Ensure timely preparation and audit of financial reports for consideration of the Governing Council.
•  Prepare and submit timely performance reports Board. Act as secretary to the Governing Council. Perform any other duty that may be assigned by the relevant authority.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

• A Master’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science OR Software Engineering;
• A qualification in Public Administration/Planning and Management is an added advantage;
•  A Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) IS an added advantage;
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ in an ICT Academic Institution OR Public Organization, three (3) of Which should have been at Senior Managerial level in a recognized institution.
