Title: Programme Officer (Litigation)
Reports to: Programme Manager

Job Purpose & Responsibilities:
To provide technical support to CEHURD'S litigation programme. This is a dynamic and highly demanding position that requires the candidate to work with a team of lawyers involved in litigating the right to health related cases. The responsibilities for this position include: meeting and interviewing clients; undertaking robust legal research to inform the litigation processes; representing CEHURD and its clients in pro bono and strategic cases; legal advisory to CEHURD and its clients; working with other programmes at CEHURD to advance the agenda of health and human rights through research, discussions and developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with CEHURD partners.

Qualifications:
The Officer will be expected to have the following qualifications:

• A minimum of an LLB Degree with a Diploma in Legal Practice;
• At least two (2) years of practical experience as an advocate,
•  Further post graduate training in human rights will be an advantage.
