Uganda Conservation Foundation ( UCF ) is a UK charity and Uganda non-profit, registered in Uganda as Uganda Conservation (U) Ltd. UCF’s mission is to safeguard the natural heritage of Uganda by implementing practical conservation and community interventions, influencing policy makers and engaging the public. The organization is currently inviting applications for the following vacancy, to start immediately.

Project Officer- based in Rubirizi Field Office

Highly organized, self-motivated and responsible, this Project Officer will be based in the field with occasional time in Kampala or elsewhere in Uganda. They will be responsible for output delivery in our community conservation projects, organizing training/workshops, collecting data, liaising with key stakeholders and managing work plans and budgets. They will report to the Projects Coordinator, and be supported with regular supervisory visits from the projects team.

Minimum of 2 year’s’ experience as field or project officer and spoken Lukonzho and Runyonkole or Runyoruguru are essential. A strong preference will be given to candidates with a valid motorcycle license and proven riding experience, and on understanding of permaculture principles.
