Reporting to the program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overall field implementation, coordination and technical support supervision of all activities under the Uganda Voucher plus Activity in the region.

Overall responsibilities: The Regional Coordinator Prepares and monitors the implementation of the monthly, quarterly and annual Voucher Plus Activity work plans, directly manages, coaches and mentors the regional mentor midwives on all aspects of the Uganda Voucher Plus Activity, Prepares and submits accurate, complete and timely periodic reports on all voucher Plus activities in the region Creates and maintains good collaborative working relationships and linkages between the Voucher Plus Activity and her stakeholders 0versees the capacity building efforts for providers ,Provides direct and regular technical support to all CEMONC and BEMONC facilities within the region ,Prepares and implement annual quality improvement plans, Create and support client/patient referral from BEMONC to CEMONC and follow up linkages at all accredited health facilities, Support and link all accredited health facilities to access & use MUH registers and HMIS booklets ,Support and link accredited health facilities to access free FP commodities, ARVs for EMTCT, vaccines for childhood immunizations, Oversee the implementation of corrective Of recommendations, Review and monitor the implementation of HR support activities.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

  • A degree in Medicine and Surgery. A Master's degree in Public Health, or its equivalent, is an added advantage.
  • Experience as a practicing clinician in a CEMONC site.
  • The candidate must have at least two (2) years of experience in managing Maternal & Reproductive Health programs/projects with a reputable NGO, and direct experience working with private providers, local governance and donor representatives. Experience in HIV/AIDS and ART is an added advantage.
  • Behavioral competences
  • Have Key personal competences in team and communication skills, networking and partnership skills. Must be dynamic, persuasive & convincing, self
  • Motivated and able to demonstrate high initiative.
