Road safety coordinator
Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Promotion of health and road safety culture by conducting site inspection to ensure compliance with safety guidelines, implementing, reporting and investigation procedures for all safety observations or incidents and integrating safety objectives into business processes while ensuring the smooth operation of the organization :
  • Design and implement the company’s road safety road map
  • Management of all drivers and maintenance of a clean driver data base
  •  Develop systems and processes to ensure contracted vehicles are compliant to company policies, guidelines and advisories
  • Ensure steady improvement in road safety compliance in the company
  • Develop and review standard 0perating Procedures (SOPs) for new and existing road safety processes
  • Conduct and participate in tool box talks for drivers and loaders to eniwinc§.a'pr0aetive safety attitude among workers and
  • Ensure that all new drivers undergo safety inductions before deployment
  • Conduct periodic training for contractors and fleet owners to enhance safety and good transport practices
  • Ensure that road safety regulations, policies, guidelines and good practices ‘are incorporated m road safety activities ‘
  • Monitor and report the status of road safety compliance at Hima Cement Limited

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  •  A recognized basic degree in any field with at least 3~5 years‘ experience in a similar field and environment.
  • A professional health & safety qualification preferably from NEBOSH.
  • Ability to understand behavior, address its underlying problems and improve the safety position
  • Open and straight forward approach to issues affecting road safety
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport
