Mildmay Uganda is a Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services. Midmay Uganda is also an accredited Institution of Higher Learning offering academic and short courses in health care. Uganda is running projects within central Uganda through which it is implementing evidence based health systems strengthening interventions aimed at accelerating HIV epidemic control. Mildmay Uganda is therefore looking for competent, innovate, and highly motivated individuals to join our team for the following position:

job Title: VMMC Regional Supervisor
Reports to: Prevention Coordinator

job Summary: The position holder will act as the team-lead, overseeing the activities of the VMMC Project staff as well as supervising VMMC services carried out by other partners on behalf of Mildmay Uganda to ensure delivery of quality VMMC Services to clients. S/he will also provide technical support to the DHTs and health facilities of the MUg supported districts.

Job Requirements: A Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery Degree, a Certificate in VMMC for HIV prevention from a recognized VMMC training institution in Uganda. S/he must have full and active registration with the relevant professional body. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years’ post internship experience in a busy HIV/AIDS clinical setting and demonstrable technical knowledge of HIV combination prevention.

Other qualities are: Good communication (oral and written) skills, teaching/presentation skills; Analytical/Decision making skills; Problem solving skills; proficiency in various MS office packages. Committed to quality and excellence, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. Must be flexible, reliable, and uphold the Christian ethos of Mildmay Uganda. Evidence of a non-judgmental approach regarding race, religion, culture, sexuality and lifestyle is critical.
