Uganda Clays Limited is Uganda's leading manufacturer of quality building products located at Kajjansi, 14 Kilometers along Kampala-Entebbe Road with a second factory at Kamonkoli in Mbale. The company seeks to recruit two (2) competent and dynamic individuals of high integrity, one based at Kajjansi factory and another at Mbarara Sales Outlet.

Yard Assistant —Mbarara Sales Outlet

Job Purpose: Responsible for providing customer care to UCL clients by supervising the correct loading of materials onto customer trucks and taking care of the customers’ safety while in the yard as well as the security of their products as they exit the yard.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure that the customers who come to the yard are welcomed and taken care of all the time
•  To ensure that every customer's loaded trucks are escorted safely to the main gate
•  To ensure that the products loaded on customer's trucks are of the right quality and quantity and that the invoices are duly signed after proper counting or checking on the loaded products
• To ensure that the work of the Yard Supervisor is properly done in his/her absence
• To work according to Uganda Clay's Quality and Safety procedures at all times
• To carry out other duties as requested by the Yard Supervisor

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Business studies preferably in accounting.
• Good knowledge of Ms Excel and Word
• One year's work experience in a similar role in stores/warehousing in a manufacturing entity.
• Proven track record of serving a big number of customers efficiently— multi tasking.
• Demonstrated ability to respond and resolve customer's requests and concerns satisfactorily.
