The Uganda National Examinations Board is a body corporate established under Cap.137 Laws of Uganda. Its Vision is “To be a Recognized Centre of Centre of Globally Competitive Educational Assessment and Certification: and its mission is “To Conduct valid, reliable, equitable and quality assessment of learners, achievement in a professional and innovate Manner and award internationally recognized certificate.” The Board invites suitably qualified Ugandans to fill the position below:

Responsible to: Assigned Dfficer
Salary scale: EB 8

Tenure of Employment:
Permanent terms after successful probation.

Purpose of the Job:
To provide transport services as may be required by the Board.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

• Driving to assigned destinations.
• Maintenance in a cost effective and efficient manner and repair as required.
• Carrying out daily assessment of the vehicle to maintain the highest level of standards.
• Monitoring and prompt reporting of damage or malfunction of the vehicle to the Officer in charge of transport.
• Maintaining and updating the Vehicle log book all the time.
• Keeping the assigned vehicle clean at all times and carrying out regular checks for validity of insurance and first Aid contents
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor or a competent authority.

Person Specification
Academic/Professional Qualifications

• Must have at least a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least a pass in English. Possession of a Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) is an added advantage.
• A valid driving permit with Classes B, CH and DL.
• A Certificate in Defensive Driving or basic mechanical engineering qualification is an added advantage.

Work Experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience of driving and maintaining vehicles in the Public Sector or similar organization.

Essential Personal qualities:

• Track record of unquestionable integrity.
• Good interpersonal, team building and communication skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
•  Fluency in Kiswahili is an added advantage.
• Confidentiality, Diligence and Reliability.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
  Age limit
