Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub—region. Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response capacity within the organisations.

Oxfam is seeking to recruit qualified persons to join our dynamic, innovative and committed humanitarian response team. Some of these positions are for immediate placement while others are tor potential projects pending confirmation of funding.

Humanitarian Policy & Advocacy Coordinator
Develop a power analysis of both country, regional and global level stakeholders in South Sudan's peace process. Based on the most influential actors, including private sector, politicians, human rights organisations, academia, media etc. as well as UN agencies and NGOs, map capacity and resources for influencing regional engagement in South Sudan‘s peace process. Develop a clear advocacy strategy in collaboration with the South Sudan Regional Crisis Policy Coordinator. Both the strategy and the plan will include and incorporate the aforementioned power analysis and stakeholder mapping, with corresponding advice on focus and the most strategic coalitions. The job holder shall work with the Country Director, Response Managers and programme teams, in entrancing the profile of Oxfam work with the refugees. S/he shall participate in and represent Oxfam at relevant meetings and forums.
