Living Water International (LWI) exists to demonstrate the love of God by helping communities acquire desperately needed clean water, and to experience “living water” —the gospel of Jesus Christ—which alone satisfies the deepest thirst. Living Water is providing safe drinking water, Community Mobilisation & Gospel Proclamation, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion to communities across Africa.

LWI UGANDA PROGRAM:
LWI Uganda was established in 2009 as an affiliate of Living Water international based in Houston, Texas, USA operating in 19+ countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa and India.

LWI Uganda runs an integrated WASH program in South Western Uganda working in the districts of Ntungamo, Kiruhura and lbanda. LWI Uganda seeks to recruit a passionate, dynamic and experienced, preferably Ugandan to fill the position of Operations Director.

JOB PURPOSE:
The Operationsbirector (OD) position is a core member of the senior management team who provides spiritual and technical oversight to country strategy formulation, oversees procurement & ensures accountability within policy guidelines. He/she will provide team leadership and management including developing, mentoring, coaching and performance management. He/she will build partnerships with community & other stakeholders, actively participates in fundraising initiatives and ensures smooth running of program operations. This position deputizes the Country Director.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in a technical/managerial field i.e. Business Administration, Engineering, International business.
• Master’s Degree in Public Health, Engineering, Business or Social Sciences.
•  8 years of progressive work experience in designing, coordinating and implementation WASH programs in emergency and development context.
•  5 years’ experience in a Senior Management position with International NGOs.
•  Excellent knowledge of WASH sector including key strategies, approaches and standards. Experience in designing and winning competitive grant proposals and concept paper.
•  Experience in designing and managing monitoring and evaluation systems for programs/projects
• Knowledge and familiarity with rules and regulations of major donors & partners like USAID, EU, DFID, World Bank and UN agencies
• Excellent track record in networking and resource mobilization.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, be self-driven and results oriented.
•  Excellent leadership, team work, strategic thinking and decision-making skills. 
• Proficiency in computer with impressive presentations.
• High Integrity/ethics, commitment and respect for Divers

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Postgraduate training in Project Management, Leadership Monitoring and Evaluation
• Ability to provide coaching, mentoring and leadership to team members;
