Job details:
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services ( CoRSU ) in Uganda (for people with disability) was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-governmental organization and is supported by CBM (Christian Blind Mission).

CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre on Entebbe Road provides Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Rehabilitation, mainly for children with disability.

CoRSU Hospital is urgently looking for young and dynamic potential professionals in the following fields:

Teacher

Reports to: Clinical Psychologist

Objective of Position:

• To deliver rehabilitation services by enhancing children's education, their life skills and emotional well-being to ensure functional literacy, numeracy and basic communication skills while under treatment and rehabilitation at CoRSU.

Qualification, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of a Grade lll Teaching Certificate or the equivalent from a recognized Institution
• Registered with the Ministry of Education and Sports
• At least 3 years’ work experience
• Good communication and social (inter-personal) skills
• Good instructive skills
• Good guidance and counseling skills
• Good child development skills
• Knowledge of English and at least 2 local languages
• Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures Computer knowledge and skills to help document all activities preformed in the department
• Knowledge/ Certificate in Special Needs Education is an added advantage
