Job details:
Uganda Allied Health Examinations Board (UAHEB) was established in 2009 by the BTVET Act 2008. The Board is mandated to streamline, harmonize, regulate and coordinate examinations and awards in the Allied Health Profession. Our primary function is to conduct examinations for all the Allied Health Training institutions in the Country.

The Board seeks to recruit qualified and competent persons to fill the following vacancies at the Secretariat:

Job Title: Personal Secretary
Salary Scale: UAHEB 6
Job Ref: UAHEB/ADMIN 01/2017
Terms of Service: Comtract

Purpose of the job:
To provide efficient and effective administrative support to the Executive Secretary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant should be Ugandan holding an Honours Bachelors degree in Secretarial and Office Management or a related field.

Working experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience in Secretarial or a related field.

  • Sensitive to confidential information and judgmental skills
  • Computer application and shorthand skills
  • A high level of integrity and team player

Duties and responsibilities

  • To provide assistance and support to the Executive Secretary in all organizational undertakings
  • Opening files for keeping classified information and closing when due.
  • Routing communications/documents to, and from the Executive Secretary's Office
  • Maintaining the Executive Secretary's appointment schedule by planning, scheduling and coordinating meetings, conferences, and travel within and out of the country.
  • Welcome the guests and clients to the Office of the Executive Secretary and responds to any inquiries relating to the Executive Secretary‘s Office
  • Controlling access to the Executive Secretary's Office so that time is utilized efficiently.
  • Producing the required documents as may be requested by the Executive Secretary.
  • Handling confidential matters with discretion
  • Any other duties assigned by the Executive Secretary
