National Animal Genetics Resources Centre and Data Bank, a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal industry and Fisheries its mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda, wishes to recruit the following;

Job Title: Assistant Inventory Management Officer

Reporting To: Finance and Administration Manager

Overall Job Purpose
To receive, issue and record stores in the Organization

Age Limit: 25-55 Years

Specific Responsibilities
Receives, keeps retrieves and issues stores in accordance with the established procedures, Receives and compiles requisition orders, Verifies invoices against goods received notes, Posts and maintains stores records, Undertakes stocktaking and stock
- inspection, Records invoices and supplies, Checks and verifies invoices and issues notes, Ensures proper storage of stock Supervises vehicle loading and offloading, Takes stock of stores, Records damaged, obsolete and expired items, Maintains stores records, issues stock in accordance with the established procedures, Controls and maintains inventory levels, Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are delivered on promised dates and Manages the security of the stores

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

• Should have a minimum qualification of a Diploma in Stores/Supplies Management or Procurement or Equivalent Qualification from a recognized Institution; and
• Working experience of at least two (2) years at the level of Stores Assistant.
