National Animal Genetics Resources Centre and Data Bank, a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal industry and Fisheries its mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda, wishes to recruit the following;

Job Title: Assistant Procurement Officer

Reporting To: Procurement Officer

Overall Job Purpose
To provide basic support to facilitate timely implementation and execution of Procurement and Disposal activities for an Entity

Age Limit: 25-55 Years

Specific Responsibilities
Prepares .and compiles draft tenders (bid) documentation, Distributes bid documents and notices, Receives and registers bids, Responds to inquiries on bid documents as may be assigned, Verifies procurement and disposal documentations for completeness and correctness, Maintains proper procurement and asset disposal records, Enters basic data on system for further processing and Follows up entries, requests, complaints and keeps customer updated of progress.

Basic Requirements

• A minimum of a diploma in Procurement / Purchasing and Supply Chain Management field or a pre professional qualification in Procurement / Purchasing and Supply Chain Management ‘ discipline obtained from a recognised institution.
• Working experience of at least two (Z) years gained from Government or reputable organization] institution is a prerequisite.
