Organization Overview
National Animal Genetics Resources Centre and Data Bank, a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal industry and Fisheries its mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda, wishes to recruit the following;

Job Title: Driver

Reporting To
Estates Officer/ Mechanical or Supervisor where deployed

Overall Job Purpose
To drive safely and maintain or facilitate maintenance of the Centre vehicle.

Age Limit: 25~55 Years

Specific Responsibilities
Drives the vehicle as may be required, Transports goods or materials as instructed from time to time, Ensures safety oi the vehicle, Keeps the vehicle clean and tidy, Reports to the responsible officer when servicing of the vehicle is due, Carries out minor repairs on the vehicle, Keeps and ensures the safety of all the vehicle documents, spare tyre and tool box and Does any other work assigned by the supervisor.

Basic Requirements

• Should have O’ level certificate of education.
• Should have a valid driving permit classes ‘C’ and
• Should have passed the chief Mechanical Engineers‘ Driving Test.
• Should have minimum driving experience of at least five (5) years in a busy environment.

Duration of commencement: 3 years Contract
