Doctors with Africa CUAMM is implementing a program - Mothers and Children First: the first 1.000 days (2017-2022) in Oyam district in Uganda; as part of this, a new 3 year project - Improving Maternal, Perinatal and Newborn Health and Reducing Mortality ln Oyam District, Uganda funded by Comic Relief/Women and Children First UK is due to start.

The main purpose is: Building the capacities of community members. and women in particular, to take action to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes. Project activities will improve community knowledge and attitudes enabling them to implement appropriate maternal and new-born home-care and care-seeking practices. They will also enable community members to leverage the funds and resources they need to improve living conditions for women and children and develop networks that they can draw on tor support before, dunng and after pregnancy. Finally, they will empower community members to lobby with health workers for improvements in quality and accessibility of RMNH services; community leaders and members to change cultural norms and values regarding women and children; decision-makers to build a policy environment that supports RMNH. in addition, to strengthen capacities of health workers, to take action, improve knowledge, attitudes and access to resources so that they can provide high quality RMNH services including an effective referral system. Post: Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager in Oyam (Code ME)

Function: Lead on monitoring, evaluation and learning activities including: development of protocols consisting of data collection to samples, quality assurance methods and analysis plans for sun/1 focus group discussions and community-based mortality surveillance and implementation of protocols to collect and analyses data and re; Provide training, mentorship and supervision for data collection by pro staff, collaborate with district biostatistician and short-terms data collectors and enumerators.

Job requirements: Qualification in Statistics, Public Health, Population Studies, Quantitative Economies or a related with at least 3-years‘ experience in related WOFK. Experience in use Spreadsheet computer applications, Open Data Kit and statistical software packages. Experience of DHlS2, MTRAC will be an added advantage Ability to communicate clearly and with confidence. Motorcycle riding permit will be an asset.
