THETA-Uganda is a registered national non- governmental organization dedicated to improving the health of Ugandans by promoting colloboration between the Tradition and biomedical health Systems. THETA-Uganda has been at the forefront of fighting HIV and AIDs.is in Uganda working at both the National, District and Community level. THETA's Mission is to improve health of the most vulnerable members of society by promoting health and preventing disease through capacity building, advocacy and research in partnership with traditional and biomedical health care systems and communities.

THETA -Uganda in collaboration with World Education inc. / Bantwana iWEl/Bi the financial support from USAID are implementing a BETTER OUTCOMES PROJECT for Children and Youth in Eastern and Northern Uganda. The purpose of the project is to improve access to comprehensive services across the continuum of HIV care and to help vulnerable children and care givers prevent and respond to HIV, violence and other adversities that impact child wellbeing in Northern Uganda, including the District of Lira, Dokolo, and Kole. THETA is an equal opportunity employer and is seeking for qualified, self-motivated and competent individuals to fill the following position;

Position: 2 Case Management Technical Officers
Reports to: District Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree social sciences and any other relevant field
Experience in working with DVC and child protection issues is preferable.

Minimum Experience: 3 years of relevant work experience in the area of child protection preferably including case management in NGO‘s preferable
Workstation: Lira /Dokolo District
Terms of Service: 1 Year-renewable subject to performance and availability of funding

  • Ensure that the Case Management system is functional and follow the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure that staff fill in correctly the referrals and other tools
  • Support the case worker and the data base worker in their daily work
  •  Organize the case conference, to discuss challenging cases, ensure timely follow up, and that all systems are functional.
  • Facilitate Case, Management training for Para Social Workers.
  • Participate in the development of lesson learned and best practices
  • Revise and compile weekly cases and update data base for cases identified by Para-Social Workers.
  • Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is completed accurately as required by THETA finance policy.
  • Attend coordination meetings when required
  • Liaise and collaborate with other stake holders to refer and follow up on cases
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
