Overview The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda), is an Organization contributing to a process of preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and improving the quality of life of persons, families and communities affected by HIV infection and disease. TASO Is Implementing various projects funded by the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Global Fund to support the Government of Uganda accelerate epidemic control and the attainment of the UNAIDS 95 95 95 goals. TASO requires the services of dedicated, competent, innovative and result-oriented individuals for employment on a contract basis for the posts below:
Job Title - REF:TS/HR/ PMOT 07: Care and Treatment Technical Advisor (02)
Classification: Contract, full time
Reports to: Care and Treatment Manager
Salary: Commensurate with training and experience
Duty Station: Regional Office (as may be determined but with in Uganda)
Directly Supervises: Pharmacy and Logistics Advisor and Laboratory Technical Advisor

Job Responsibilities
• The Care and Treatment Technical Advisor will provide technical support in the areas of Paediatric HIV Care and Treatment, Pharmacy and Logistics, Laboratory Services, Adult Care and Treatment, Elimination of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV/Early Infant Diagnosis (EMTCT/ED), Nutrition Assessment and Counseling Support (NACS) to the cluster teams and health facility personnel. She will support the implementation of comprehensive cart and treatment, EMTCT/EID and NACS services in the Region,

Job Qualifications
• At least 5 years' professional experience managing and implementing health systems strengthening programs in the areas of health policy and administration, health sector development, public health with a minimum of (3) years' experience in sub-Saharan Africa, Uganda experience preferred. At least three (3) years' demonstrated experience in managing and supervising health systems activities and teams.

Job Education Requirements:
• A Basic qualification in Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and A Master's degree in Public Health or a related field is an added advantage.
