JOB DETAILS:
The mission of the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) is to strengthen health systems in Africa, with a strong emphasis on infectious diseases through research and capacity development. IDI has six operational areas through which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment, Global Health Security, Training, Research, Laboratory services (including the CAPcertified IDI Core Lab) and Outreach.
In order to achieve the above objectives, IDI seeks to recruit a competent candidate as indicated below;
Job Title : Site Mobilisers (3 positions)
Vacancy Code : SMX01
Classification : Full time
Reporting : Regional Mobilization Officer
Duty Station : River Oli & Nebbi Hospital (ARUA DISTRICT)(Buwambo HC IV)(WAKISO DISTRICT).

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, design and oversee the implementation of community mobilization and demand creation activities for VMMC services in the assigned site.
• Develop and disseminate SMC and HIV prevention messages in appropriate local languages.
• Participate in the implementation of the community mobilization and demand creation plan for VMMC services.

Educational requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Administration, social sciences, Mass communication or related field.

Qualifications and skills
• At least three years proven working experience in mobilizing communities to utilize health services.
• At least two years of experience managing community mobilization teams
• Excellent oral presentation skills
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Possess key personal competences in Team and communication skills, networking and partnership skills.
• Experience in mobilization for SMC will be an added advantage.
