The IRC has been working in Uganda since 1998 supporting nationals and refugees and various institutions in the country notably the government, community based organizations, the civil society and the private sector. IRC has a country office in Kampala, a regional office in Kitgum (and Lamwo) Moroto and West Nile. Given the conflict outbreak in South Sudan, IRC re-opened the Yumbe Field site office to support refugees being settled in Bidibidi, Imvepi and Omugo refugee settlement in Yumbe and Arua Districts respectively.
IRC is currently looking for enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated persons to join our team to support the effective delivery of the organization’s mission.

Job Overview/Summary:
The Laboratory Technician will be responsible to ensure laboratory services of all sites, are well planned for, provided with necessary resources and implemented in accordance with set policies and standards

- The role of the Laboratory Technician cannot be limited to the specific duties and tasks detailed herein. The success of the IRC’s humanitarian mission is the highest priority and all issues which arise must be addressed. Accordingly. Therefore, s/he will be required to manage all unforeseen issues and circumstances and remain Flexible to perform any other duties, as and when required.
