JOB DETAILS:
IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR .

Key Responsibilities:
Brief description of duties and responsibility of the job
• To provide support for all computer and printer hardware, CCTV and all applications used by the Group as well as configuration, upgrades and maintenance of these.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of server systems (Linux and Microsoft), LAN and WAN solutions
• To implement and enforce internal computer systems security.
• To administer Domain controller, Active directory, firewalls and routers.
• To implement and maintain up-to-date backups for server and all applications
• To test and implement software patches for all applications, including third party applications
• To build, implement, periodically test and review disaster recovery plans for all ICT systems and infrastructure
• The procurement of software, hardware and other ICT accessories.
• To maintain comprehensive and updated documentation of all ICT systems and infrastructure in use by the Group
• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
• Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
• Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
• Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
• Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
• Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and database performance

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or BSc Computing or any other related field.
Experience of a minimum of 3 -5 years in a busy organization.
