The Roles
Oxfam in Uganda is looking for competent persons to join our dynamic, innovative and committed team in the following position:
Land Rights Coordinator (1 position, Fixed term based in Kampala)
Responsible for the strategic development, management and implementation of the Oxfam in Uganda_land rights work. Supports Oxfam‘s impact locally, regionally, continentally and globally through ensuring land rights program alignment to the key strategic objectives and program standards. Supports resource mobilization, specifically for land rights elements of the strategy, Ensures that the promotion of women's rights is at the heart of all Oxfam in Uganda's program work.
Job Specifications
A Bachelors Degree in Law, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy or other related discipline from a recognised university; at least 5 years project management experience preferably within an international development, campaigning or humanitarian organization; comprehensive knowledge and experience of implementing land rights programs and initiatives, good understanding of Uganda's public policy processes, experience and knowledge of programme development and delivery approaches, Project Cycle Management principles, tools, working with donors & partnerships, financial and people management skills, experience in developing advocacy and campaign strategies and plans and successfully achieving external impact and change, understanding of gender and its dynamics.
