Doctors with Africa CUAMM is working in 23 districts in Uganda, a major focus of its actions is to increase access to health services especially the poorest. CUAMM considers it a duty to work tirelessly until “access to the highest level of health can be guaranteed for all”. This access can meaningfully and sustainably be achieved by strengthening health systems at district, facility and community levels. To support this effort we are seeking for suitably qualified persons to fill in the positions below.

1. Surgeon; 1 to be employed as CUAMM Staff based in Aber Hospital in Oyam District.Function: Contribute to improvement in quality and scope of surgical services in the hospital. Supervise and mentor young medical officers and be part of senior medical team in the hospitals.

Job requirements:
MBChB, and MMED surgery or equivalent from a recognized university with at least 1-2 years post MMED experience or equivalent surgical experience before MMED. Demonstrated ability to manage common emergency and cold surgical operations in a general hospital and to work with minimal supervision in scarcity.
