JOB DETAILS:
AIRD Uganda is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making international NGO. AIRD is currently working in 9 African countries in East, Central and West Africa.

AIRD’s objectives is to offer operational support, including but not limited to; supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WAH in partnership with relief and development organisations which focus on disaster-affected and development oriented areas.

AIRD is seeking for qualified personnel (internal and external) to fill the position to be implemented in 2018:

Job Title : Truck Drivers
Location: Kampala and Field settlements

Responsible For: Transportation of items and General Maintenance of the vehicle

Job Summary: Providing the operations/fleet Manager with all information and documents concerning fuel taken, both in Kampala and the field & ensuring that the fuel tank is not tampered with at any one time.

Job Qualifications:

• At least 3-5 years’ working experience in similar pots with some years spent in an .
  
• Ability to drive long distances within and outside the country.
  
• Ability to read and write.
  
• Flexibility in working patterns and able to work for long hours, and away from duty station when the need arises.
  
• Acceptable communication skills with a patient character are an asset.
  
• Valid driving permit for trucks and trailers is a must.
  
• Experience in left hand drive
  
• Knowledge of defensive driving is an added a vantage.
