Kyagalanyi Coffee Ltd., part of the Volcafe group, is one of the leading exporters in Uganda and we are now looking for 4 exciting new positions to join our team.

Post: Washed Arabica Specialist

The Role:
This role will be responsible for supporting operations in the field and at our Central Warehouse reviewing all stages of production with a specific focus on washed Arabicas.

Responsibilities:

  • Support production in the field at washing station level working closely with farmers and other Kyagalanyi team members in order to advise and guide on best practices
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure high operating standards are in place and maintained regarding cherry selection and processing.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience in a similar role within the Coffee sector.
  • University degree level education in a relevant discipline.
  • Previous field experience with a specific focus on washed Arabica. .
  • Excellent knowledge of production and quality management.
  • Good awareness of compliance best practices and regulations.
    Excellent understanding of quality assurance principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and able to handle multiple priorities at the same time.
  •  Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and able to master other software.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive can do attitude.
