INVITATION TO TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF LATRINE DEMONSTRATION SITES UNDER OPEN DOMESTIC BIDDING

Name of Project: WatSSUP PROJECT
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH Water and Sanitation for Refugees and Host Communities in Northern Uganda (WatSSUP) Programme, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), invites bids for the construction of two Latrine Demonstration Sites located in refugee hosting districts of Yumbe and Terego district.
This tender is open to interested eligible Community Based Organisations (CBOs), Non-Governmental Organisations and private liability companies in Uganda, with proven experience in similar works in Uganda. They must be registered and holders of valid legal documents permitting them to do business in Uganda.
Eligibility criteria
The following information and documents will required during evaluation on pass fail basis and non-compliant bids will be eliminated
• URSB Registered powers of attomey authorizing signatory/ representative of the firm to sign bids/tenders on behalf of the firm.
• Current and valid Income Tax Clearance Certificate addressed to GIZ
• Valid Trading License
• Bid validity period of 120 working days.
Request for Bidding/Tendering Documents and detailed terme of reference.
Interested and eligible bidders shall obtain detailed bidding/tendering documents in soft copy form only. Kindly submit your request for bidding/tender documents by email to. Procurement-giz-uganda@giz.de starting from Thursday 14.12.2023 the date of first publication of this tender until 22.12.2023 before 12:00Noon EAT by indicating in the subject tender reference number 83455876-Construction of two Latrine demonstration sites"

Bids/ Offers Submission Deadline date and time
Interested bidders should submit their bids/offers electronically by Monday, 15.01.2024 at 4.00pm (EAT) to UG_Quotation@giz.de indicating in the subject the tender reference number "83455878 -Construction of two Latrine demonstration sites".
1. Failure to indicate the tender reference number in the subject may disqualify your offer directly as it may fail to be received in the tender box.
2. Late submissions will not be accepted!
3. Bids submitted with GIZ staff or other GIZ emails in copy shall be rejected.
4. Only bids submitted to UG_Quotation@giz.de are acceptable.
5. You should have offers in both Excel and PDF zipped folders.
6. One email should be used for submitting the Offer.
7. Only filetransfer https://filetransfer.giz.de/ should be used for submission of documents exceeding the default mail size of 30 MB or use two separate emails one submitting the eligibility documents, a second one submitting the technical requirements and third email submitting the Financial Offer. Please provide password for file transfer before the bid submission deadline of 15.01.2024 and indicate tender number in the subject line. 8. Failure to follow the above instruction may lead your offer to be encrypted and rejected.
GIZ is under no obligation to award a contract to the lowest or any other bidder and may cancel the whole process when it deems fit without giving any prior justification or notification to any prospective bidder(s).
No costs incurred by the bidder in preparing and submitting the tender are reimbursable. All such costs must be bome by the bidder.
