Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Economics; or Education; or Business Management; or Agricultural Economics; or any relevant Degree plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation; or Project Management from a recognized University/Institution. Applicants should possess a Master’s Degree in Industrial Economics or Business Administration; or Business and Enterprise Management; or Business Vocational Education; or in a related field from recognized University/Institution.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which should have been served at Principal Officer level in Government or equivalent level of experience from a reputable Organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Commissioner, Local Economic Development for performing the following duties:-
• Reviewing and developing policies for economic development in Local Governments;
• Initiating special projects for addressing district development objectives;
• Guiding and mentoring Local Governments in community driven development;
• Providing platform for Private Public Partnerships with Local Governments;
• Advocating for business development in Local Governments;
• Providing technical support to Local Governments programmes for revenue enhancement and policies;
• Facilitating Local Governments to provide the right mix of goods and services;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
