JOB DETAILS:
Lead, coordinate and implement activities that promote the visibility of the organization.

Overall Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and update Baylor Uganda communications strategy and action plan to enhance the visibility and profile of Baylor Uganda. This will include amongst others:- the organisation’s overall approach to communications, Communications/social media protocols to guide staff, branding and marking strategy and protocols, engagement with and support to partner’s communications plans and products; and media engagement
• Generate content and produce various communications products such as publications, brochures, fact sheets, stories, digital materials to inform various internal and external audiences and stakeholders on the work of Baylor Uganda
• Manage Baylor Uganda’s social media presence, including Twitter, Facebook, and other outlets
• Monitor relevant media coverage and leverage trends in media coverage, key announcements and high-level conversations to further strategies that work on behalf of Baylor Uganda’s interests.
• Identify and develop new communications partnerships and media alliances to identify innovative opportunities and new communications tools and platforms to profile and highlight Baylor Uganda’s work.
• Provide technical support in planning and implementation of the communications components of various Baylor Uganda projects/programmes
• Develop and manage Program events calendar and collaborate with team to collect, maintain and distribute current content appropriately.
• Coordinate visits and high profile events for the organisation
• Develop and utilize a communication’s products archive system.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration or related field.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in public information, journalism or related field.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing communications strategies.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver presentations to large and small groups; strong attention to detail and good editorial skills
• Knowledge of common software (MS Office) and graphic design skills, including ability to create aesthetically pleasing and engaging materials for a wide audience.
• Fluency in English
• 7 Years Relevant Experience
