Job Summary
To initiate, develop, and monitor the implementation of systems, policies, and working procedures for managing financial activities in line with the organization’s mission and objectives

Overall Responsibilities
• Initiate, develop and monitor the implementation of financial control systems, policies and procedures in line with Baylor Uganda financial policies and regulations
• Initiate, monitor and review timely preparation and submission of management accounts and financial statements and forecasts in line with International Financial Reporting Standards and Donor requirements;
• Prepare a consolidated project annual budget, then monitor the preparation and implementation of approved departmental/ activity budgets in line Annual Work Plans;
• Ensure periodic internal, external and donor audits and implement related audit findings to improve project implementation;
• Review and approve documents/reports regarding procurement, distribution, allocation and appropriate use of assets, facilities, materials, staff salaries and other expenditures;

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
• A Degree in Commerce, Accounting /Finance and Relevant Masters
• Professional qualification and membership to ACCA, CPA
• The candidate must have at least five (5) years of working experience providing finance leadership in programs of similar size.
• Good IT skills in Microsoft Office packages and knowledge of Navision.
• 5 Years Relevant Experience
