Brief Job Summary
The Finance Officer will be responsible for supporting the finance department by performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks. This role involves managing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Duties & Job Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Assist in audits and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate with other departments on budget and expenditure tracking.
- Support payroll processing and statutory filings.
- Advise management on cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) preferred or in progress
Experience
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting
Behavioral Competencies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
