JOB DETAILS:
Karapapa Travelers Inn is a new Guest House located within the heart of Moroto town. Established in 2020, Karapapa Travelers Inn seeks to provide a comfortable, clean and cost effective alternative to traditional hotels. To make the business realize its potential in service delivery, we seek to recruit qualified and competent persons to fill the position below:
Security Guard
The Security Guard will report to the Manager and will patrol and protect assigned property, promote and enforce safety and security and act as a visible deterrent against irregular activity. .

Main Job tasks, duties and responsibilities include:
• Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences
• Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
• Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas

The job will be full time, with working hours between 6.00 pm and 7:30 am Monday to Sunday.

Successful applicants must have:
• Relevant previous security guard experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills and alert at all times during working hours
• Should know how to read and write in English or mother tongue
• A Certificate in Primary Leaving Examination is required.
