Background
Kabale School of Comprehensive Nursing started in 1972 as Kabale School of Nursing and Midwifery training students at enrolled level. By then the capacity was 120.
That meant 60 per course (Nursing & Midwifery and the selection was only 20 students for each intake. The duration of the course was 2 ½ years. This institution remains the only Government Institution of this kind in the Kigezi region.
Ownership
Kabale School of Comprehensive Nursing is a Public training Institution owned by Uganda Government.
Location
The school is located at Makanga Hill, Kabale Municipality about one (1) kilometer from the Kabale main Post office on Ngorogoza Road. It is adjacent to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital and neighboring the District Administration offices, District Health offices and the Golf course.
