Provision of HIV Counselling Consultancy Services at Forty Government Health Centres in Support of HIV + Depression Study (Ref: MRC/20/0407).
The MRC/UVRI & LSHTM Uganda Research Unit in collaboration with the government of Uganda, is conducting a research study that aims to evaluate a model for the integration of the management of depression into routine HIV care in Uganda. The proposed model will be based on the Manas intervention which is a mental health integration model that was successfully evaluated in public primary health care in India (in a non—HIV population}. This study is a scaling up of a previous pilot study and seeks to subject the adapted intervention to a clinical trial. This one year study will be undertaken among people living with HIV attending AntiRetroviral Therapy at public health care facilities in the three study districts in central and south—western Uganda (Masaka, Kalungu, Wakiso).
MRC/UVRI and LSHTM wishes to engage a capable consultancy agency that will recruit individuals that include members of the HIV care teams at public health facilities namely; lay health workers, counselors, clinicians all supported by specialist mental health workers from HC III's, HC IV's and referral hospitals.MRC/UVRI and LSHTM invites interested Tenderers to submit bids for title above services. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with MRC/UVRI and LSHTIII Uganda Research Unit Procurement Standard Operating Procedure and policies and is open to all individuals and consultancy ﬁrms meeting the requirements and instructions stipulated in the tender solicitation documents.
Bids should be submitted in accordance with the tender instructions at the reception of MRCI UVRI and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit in Entebbe, before 4:00pm on Thursday 3rd September 2020.
Late submissions or submissions that do not comply with tender instructions may be rejected
