StrongMinds Uganda (SMU) is a fast growing and dynamic social enterprise, committed to improving the Mental Health of Women in Africa by providing life-changing mental health services to impoverished African women. StrongMinds Uganda currently operates in 4 districts of Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono and Iganga. StrongMinds Uganda seeks to fill the vacant position of Adolescent Project Manager and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced nationals. This is a one-year contract renewable subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding.

Reports to: Program Manager
Duty Station: Kampala
Purpose:
The Adolescent Project Manager (APM) serves as Chief of Party for StrongMinds’ grantfunded adolescent initiatives and takes overall responsibility for successful project management, leadership, partner engagement, and coordination of all adolescent relevant activities.
The APM works independently and collaboratively with the StrongMinds Uganda (SMU) Program Manager, the SMU Executive Director, and the StrongMinds Program Director, as well as other staff, donors, partners, and consultants to successfully plan, manage, and implement project activities, while also supporting partnership engagement and growth of the adolescent project portfolio within and beyond Uganda.
The APM will be expected to demonstrate experience and expertise in the following areas: supporting and empowering adolescent and vulnerable populations; managing and supervising the planning and implementation of high quality, innovative, and to-budget programs utilizing creative and flexible problem-solving to address challenges as they arise; leading reporting, documentation, and dissemination of learnings and best practices to a range of stakeholders; coordination across offices and locations; and finally advocacy and strategic planning to support longer-term project scaling and public sector engagement.
The Project Manager position is grant-funded with prospects for renewal and growth of responsibilities.
