Currently, Oxfam is implementing a humanitarian response to address the humanitarian needs of South Sudanese refugees hosted in West Nile sub—region. Oxfam’s areas of intervention include WASH, Emergency Food Security and Vulnerable Livelihoods (EFSVL), Gender and Protection. Oxfam works with local partners as a strategy for building humanitarian preparedness and response capacity within the organisations.
Oxfam is seeking to recruit qualified persons to join our dynamic, innovative and committed humanitarian response team. Some of these positions are for immediate placement while others are tor potential projects pending confirmation of funding.
To be based in Arua, the position will focus on both local and international audiences and support the delivery of emergency communications plan. he Communications Officer is a vital member of a diverse team and s/her key roles shall include producing communications and fundraising resources, pursuing media opportunities and exposure in the humanitarian emergency. S/he will work with the response managers and information, Media, Communications Coordinator in developing and sharing response situation reports and updates.
