About Us:
Asili Farms is a fully-mechanized farming company that manages dual-season production of high quality maize and soybeans for supply to regional food processors. Asili Farms became operational in January 2014 and is currently farming on over 5,000 ha of land in Western Uganda under a conservation agriculture and precision farming approach to maximize yields efficiently and sustainably.

Job Summary:

The Corporate Affairs Manager is responsible for helping implement and develops Agilis’s communications and stakeholder engagement strategies. The Corporate Affairs Manager will work as a strategic resource to advice on, develop and implement programming that improves the company’s reputation and increases harmony between the company and local communities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Manager will be responsible for the following:
• In partnership with Senior Management, develop, implement and monitor Agilis’s internal and external engagement and communications, press management, corporate social responsibility and stakeholder relationship management strategies
• Manage Agilis’s main digital assets—website, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
• Manage internal communications initiatives including company newsletters and other internal communications
• Manage events including farmer training days that promote a healthy relationship between Agilis and the community
• Promote Agilis and its impacts to the public through various strategies
• Develop and implement strategies for corporate gifts during holidays to improve relationships with customers and vendors
• Manage external communications initiatives which promote the positive social and environmental impact Agilis achieves including newsletters, press releases and other publications
• Initiate and manage partnerships with NGOs, local government, government agencies, other companies and other entities to promote Agilis’s mission of empowering Ugandans to feed Africa
• Support in representing Agilis to government and industry trade groups; support in managing lobbying efforts
• Represent the company as the primary spokesperson of the company
• Manage all press inquiries
• Identify opportunities to generate positive press and engage with journalists to promote the positive press
• Advise on branding and corporate identity matters
• Implement corporate social responsibility initiatives
• Monitor the impact of Agilis in collaboration with the data and finance teams and develop reporting for Agilis investors and stakeholders on Agilis’s positive impact
• Support investor relations

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s degrees in any relevant field; >3 years of relevant experience in PR, community relations, communications, corporate affairs, NGO work, or other relevant fields; passion for sustainable development; ability to live up-country.
