Mengo Hospital is a Church of Uganda Missionary founded Hospital and Private Not-For Profit (PNFP), It is categorized as a General Hospital, but operationally a Referral Hospital. The Missionary Hospital developed into the present-day 300- bed hospital, spread over 22 acres of land at Namirembe Hill in Kampala. Mengo Hospital in partnership with CBM international seeks to recruitsuitably qualified applicants with strong analytical skills, persons of high integrity/morals, God fearing, talented, good Team players and should be customer focused to fill the following job position

Job Title: Social Worker
Reports To: Project Coordinator
Location: Mango Hospital, Eye Department, Kampala

Job Summary: To offer quality comprehensive social support for Mengo Eye Department clients and theirfamilies. Position holder is also responsible for enhancing sustainable referrals and linkages that will complement the required support for c|ients.The position holderwill also identify clients for purpose of waiver scheme, fund raising and advocacy.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in social works and social Administration
  
• Bachelor of Social Work and Social Administration will be of an added advantage
  
• Other related health qualifications; Nursing, Palliative care
  
• Should be a registered member of National Social Workers Association of Uganda
  
• 5 years‘ experience in social work if Diploma holderor2 years’ experience in social work if Degree holder and 1 year experience in counselling. length of contract:1 year (Renewable)
