JOB DETAILS:
AIRD Uganda is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making international NGO. AIRD is currently working in 9 African countries in East, Central and West Africa.

AIRD’s objectives is to offer operational support, including but not limited to; supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WAH in partnership with relief and development organisations which focus on disaster-affected and development oriented areas.

AIRD is seeking for qualified personnel (internal and external) to fill the position to be implemented in 2018:

Job Title: Team leaders (Engineering)
Location: Kampala and field settlements

Responsible For: Responsible for overall seeing and management of field construction teams

Job Summary: Provide technical oversight for smooth implementation of projects in areas of under supervision, Set clear goals for the teams in line with the organization goals and objectives, Delegate tasks, set deadlines and make sure teams follow the set deadlines to meet organizational goals, Consolidate sites reports and provide feedback on the findings/recommendations of reports

Job Qualifications:

• Degree of Bachelor of Civil and Building Engineering
  
• Degree in management or training in team leading is an added advantage
  
• Should possess a good understanding and experience of civil works
  
• At least 4 years working experience in engineering
  
• At east two years experience in project management
