Uganda Development Corporation ( UDC ) was setup by the Uganda Development Act 2016 as the investment arm of Government with the primary objective of facilitating industrial and economic development of the country One of the modalities cl meeting the objective is setting up subsidiaries‘ The Government of Uganda received a grant from The Korean Government through Korea international Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to facilitate construction of a Fruit Processing factory. The factory is to be run under UDC as a subsidiary- Soreti Fruits Limited.(SOFTE). The company will produce ready to drink juice and concentrates from Ugandan produced fruits notably Oranges and Mangoes in preparation for factory operations, UDC invites applications from suitable candidates to fill in the vacant position below;

Post: General Manager/ Chief Executive Officer
Reports to: SOFTE Board of Director
Duty station: Soroti
Summary: To provide strategic leadership through working with the board and staff to ensure fulfillment of soroti fruit limited vision and Business mission

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Master‘s degree in one of the following fields; Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Management, Food technology, Finance, Industrial Chemistry or related fields
• A post graduate management qualification is essential for non-business graduates
• Must have at least 10 years of working experience of which must be eta senior management level preferably in the FMCG sector.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing, agro processing or private sector operations will be an added advantage.
• Should be result oriented with very good communication skills
• Should have leadership, mentoring and coaching Skills
