CRS has worked in Uganda since 1965, initially providing emergency assistance to Sudanese refugees living in the north. Over the years, CRS has expanded its programming to also address development needs in western, central and eastern Uganda. CRS' projects in Uganda currently include agriculture, health, microfinance, peacebuilding and youth. CRS Uganda implements its programs through partnerships with local organizations, including the Catholic Church, other faith-based organizations and community entities for maximum impact and sustainability. CRS Uganda employs around 190 staff and has its main office in Kampala, with sub-offices in Moroto, Yumbe, and Hoima
Job Summary:
As a Volunteer you will be required to work with the Program/Project Manager to deliver a particular set of tasks, that are to be achieved within a particular timeframe. .

Job Roles and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate in focus group discussions in order to get information about a particular area of interest.
• Conduct interviews with Key Informants on a project to provide information for statistical and analytical purpose.
• Data organization; Organize, transcribe and code notes and work closely with the Program/Project Manager to analyze results
• Prepare project/activity narrative reports.
• Contribute to the organization’s visibility at field level.


Personal Skills:
• Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members.
• Attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.
• Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented.
• Observation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment


Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:
General requirements:
1. Must have a minimum of a certificate or diploma in any field.
2. Basic knowledge of computer and data entry.
3. Have a strong command of the English language and the local language for a district or field area.
4. Must be resident in the respective district
5. Must have computer skills
6. Must be willing to commit sufficient time for organizational activities
7. Prior experience working with an NGO will be an added advantage
