The position holder is also responsible for reviewing of AGI construction documentations, including implementation of the detailed design, AGI MTO and contribution in any required relevant up-dates as well as managing the construction activities for Uganda Pump Station 1 or Pump Station 2 up to 450 construction workers at peak of mobilization. The Job holder is charged with performing construction activities fully compliant with EACOP, IFC, and countries HSE standards, business ethics, anti-corruption, human rights, legal and regulatory requirements delivering the EACOP AGI facilities within approved project construction schedule, approved budget, and integrating National Content requirements. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES To support the Lot Manager to manage the AGI construction achievement and review activities; monitor the construction activities, change orders, requests related to construction activities. To control the construction package, quality, cost, and progress in accordance with approved project requirements, budget and schedule. To promote cost reduction initiatives and strive to optimize costs and achieve value at every opportunity. To assist the Lot Manager and the Delivery Manager in monitoring and to account for and follow-up mitigation of project risks. To organize and propose the AGI construction team for LOT1 – PS1 or PS2, interacting with a multi-disciplinary technical team to ensure a good working atmosphere and integration as needed be partners secondees. To work in full coordination with EPeMC construction team ensuring best use of project resources and efficient implementation of Quality Surveillance teams with other disciplines (Engineering, Operations, HSEQ, E&S team and project control groups). To ensure construction contractors implement the project National Content plan and E&S mitigation plan. To report progress and provide input to weekly and monthly reports. To ensure the teams under job-holder’s responsibility are appropriately supervised and have received adequate instruction and training to carry out their role in a safe manner. To coordinate and interface with all LOT 1- PS1 or PS2 entities to ensure construction needs are accounted for in the design and procurement activities and that project early activities schedule coincide with construction plan. To ensure compliance with EACOP obligations under Upstream agreement for sections included in Pump Station 1 or Pump Station 2 (Uganda) are strictly adhered to. Act as construction site lead. To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior with regard H3SE and “rules of conduct” policy, authorization ethics and project “code of conduct” policies. To participate to meetings with partners, authorities and other stakeholders as required whenever advised by line managers. To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be required by the position. ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS Degree: BSc (or equivalent formal qualification) in a recognized Engineering discipline EXPERIENCE Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5-7 years in Oil & Gas Industry with similar large-scale projects REQUIRED COMPETENCIES Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions, negotiations, and meetings with contractors, partners, and regulatory authorities. Ability to effectively lead and manage a team: Sound organizational ability, ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills, good motivational skills.
