Head of Product & Marketing

Eleving Group mission is to enable upward social mobility for people in diverse communities around the world by providing entrepreneurs who are excluded from traditional banking systems, access to credit. By combining asset financing, fintech, AI-based underwriting, and proprietary car portals we enable these local entrepreneurs (motorcycle taxi riders, Uber/Bolt drivers, and small business owners) to find and purchase their own vehicles. 

We are expanding our multi cultural team and are looking for a dynamic Head of Product & Marketing to drive our brand on the East Africa market forward and expand our product portfolio, including ground-breaking services like smartphone financing. This pivotal role combines strategic vision with hands-on execution, directly impacting our sales performance and market presence.

NB: Relocation to East Africa is required. 

What You'll Be Responsible For:

1. Brand & Communication Strategy

  • Lead all external communications—visual, written, and digital—to ensure brand consistency and resonance.
  • Strengthen Mogo’s brand positioning through strategic public relations initiatives.
  • Design and implement social media strategies to boost awareness, engagement, and lead generation.

2. Product Strategy & Development

  • Define and execute the company’s product development roadmap, aligning with market needs and customer insights.
  • Identify and implement upselling, cross-selling, and product bundling opportunities.
  • Launch and scale new products (e.g., Smartphone Financing, Boda Logbook Loans) based on market demand.

3. Marketing Campaigns & Promotions

  • Develop and lead comprehensive digital marketing strategies focused on sales growth.
  • Plan and manage end-to-end campaigns and product-specific promotions.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention through data-driven marketing initiatives.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead key initiatives that support operational efficiency and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, product, and operations teams to align marketing and business priorities.

What We’re Looking For:

Must-haves

  • Proven experience in marketing, product management, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and launch products that meet market needs and deliver business results.
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing tools and channels (e.g., Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO).
  • Strong understanding of brand communication, PR, and social media strategy.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering results through collaboration.
  • Track record of planning and executing marketing campaigns with measurable sales impact.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • A clear commercial mindset—comfortable owning sales as a key performance indicator.

  • Experience in financial services, mobility, or consumer lending sectors.
