Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement, and maintain robust ICT related infrastructure systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of our Hardware, software, Networks, Storage and cloud services at all times. The ideal candidate will oversee network and server administration, disaster recovery planning, and vendor management while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
• Design, implement, maintain, scalable and secure infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud environments that meet current & future requirements.
• Ensure scalability, performance, and security of IT infrastructure.
• Evaluate existing, new technologies and recommend infrastructure upgrades or enhancements.
• Lead the installation, configuration, and integration of new hardware, software, and network components.
• Oversee the deployment of any cloud-based solutions and manage performance of all cloud infrastructure resources.
Network and Server Administration:
• Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), servers, and associated hardware.
• Ensure optimal network performance and system availability.
System Monitoring:
• Continuously monitor infrastructure performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues proactively to minimize downtime.
Disaster Recovery & Backup:
• Develop, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure data integrity and availability through robust backup strategies.
Documentation:
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of all infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Create technical guides and reports for internal use.
Support and Troubleshooting:
• Proactively monitor and manage the performance, capacity, and availability of IT infrastructure.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Respond promptly to incidents and work towards quick resolutions.
Vendor Management:
• Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget.
• Evaluate and recommend cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with vendors for procurement, support, and upgrades of software/hardware.
• Evaluate vendor solutions, contracts and ensure alignment with business needs and SLAs
Security and Compliance:
• Implement robust security measures to protect the IT infrastructure from unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber-attacks.
• Ensure IT infrastructure aligns with company policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements and internal security policies.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure management.
• Strong knowledge of servers, storage systems, networking, virtualization, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, security protocols, and network troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.
• Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or ITIL best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, or ITIL are a plus.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or PowerShell scripting.
