Background
The Allied health professional’s council was established by an Act of Parliament in 1996, cap 268. The Council is a body corporate with a perpetual succession. It may sue or be sued in its corporate name and subject to this statute may do or suffer all other things and acts as body corporate do or suffer.
Vision :
To be the leading Allied Health Regulatory body to protect the Society from harmful unethical professional practices.
Mission:
To regulate, supervise, control and enforce standards of training and practice, training and education of Allied Health Professionals in order to effectively contribute to a health productive life of Ugandans.
Mandate:
To regulate and control practice, education and training of Allied health professionals through registration, licensing, supervision and monitoring.
An Allied health professional is a person who attains a qualification in health sciences, registrable by the Council
